Well hello Tuesday! Pretty good weekend here at the Wiley home. We are getting alot of remodeling and renovation done on our home. Our wonderful missionaries volunteered 2 complete days to help Rob drywall a new bedroom and also start on the new bathroom installation for downstairs! That's always exciting to me! Today the girls and I painted my bathroom a beautiful shade called Morning Zen. Love love love it. And it's true I do love the name just as much as the actual color! Everyone helped out and we had alot of fun. We took a break so Hannah could take a government test (which she got 100% on!) and then went right back to painting. Just some trim work left to be done. I am exhausted! Started my mornning off with Day 1 of P90x. I am pretty excited about it because I have heard about and seen some awesome results from friends. I am totally modifying Ab Ripper tho, because of my hysterectomy I had in late November...just dont feel 100% yet and dont want to mess anything up! But all in time....
For January's homeschool news, Aubry is working on 3rd year French (she is translating an entire book for this credit!) and she is also preparing for her next ACT exam in February. She is also preparing to take her Parenting final and Art final thru BYU Independant study. On top of all this, Aubry is working on a government course also. We are focusing alot on French with her right now since she will be leaving for France in June with 5 others from her French classes back in Missouri. (I am trying to not think about the movie Taken!) As for Hannah, she is right on course with Spanish and she is learning to read several verses from the Spanish Bible. She is working on government as well and also taking a Responsible Dating and Decisions course thru BYU Independant Study. (I could go on and on about how much I love the BYU courses! So thorough and revelant to today's times for young adults!) Hannah is also attending co op once a week (beginning in Feb) where she is signed up for photography and economics courses. (Her Spanish is thru the co op too!) In a few months we will start on some literature, poetry and creative writing using Sonlight Curriculum. My sweet little Maddie is still going to preschool everyday (half days) and loving it. I am back and forth about HS her just yet. I am pretty sure we will let her go to kindergarten in the fall so she can have that experience and also be around other kids her age.
As I am writing this, I am listening to the rain just pour down outside. I love days like this! I'm thinking its just about time to make a bite to eat, put up my feet, and relax! Possibly cruise around Pinterest??? LOL Of course I will be on Pinterest. It's my current love of all loves online!!! So...with that...I hope everyone has a great one!
This blog pretty much covers everything that i love and hate..and all in between. Its an inside look at my never dull for a minute life.

Oh my Oh my! I finally have a blog! Seriously people I have been meaning to get around to this for months....well let's be honest here...YEARS! Woo hoo I want to jump up and down and cheer...but we will leave all that stuff back in my high school cheerleading days ;-)
So now that I am now a "blogger" (is that the correct word?) I am wondering where exactly do I start . Hhhmmmm...ok let me introduce myself. My name is Sarah Elizabeth Wiley (formerly Metz) and yes I know if there is anyone from my high school days reading this they will be like "oh geez what is that Metz girl getting into now...and ok..I had that coming because well...I was known to be a bit mischevious and that's all Im gonna say about that...for now at least! Alot has happened since then though...after leaving Flatwoods, KY where I grew up I met a soldier and fell in love. I have called him my husband for over 17 years now! We have had lots (and I do mean LOTS) of ups and downs but I wouldnt change any of it because it has made me and brought me to where I am today. And I am one very happy girl! We have 3 wonderful daughters ages 16, 15, and 4 and have lived in a variety of places! Here is a list of places we have called "HOME", some for a few months but mostly for a few years.
New York, Hawaii, Texas, Georgia, Missouri, Germany, Texas (again!), Missouri (again!) and currently Alabama. Mostly my family has been together but there have been times (years, in fact) that the Army has taken my hubby to Iraq and Afghanistan for war as well as other places for training. But hey, we made it!
I have a brother who lives in KY and a sister who lives in North Carolina...more on them later!
I homeschool my oldest 2 daughters and absolutely love it. They (bless their hearts) have been in 8 different schools thanks to the military and this last one here in Alabama was an epic FAIL! I will blast them out in another blog!
Today I am just going to think pleasant thoughts and be nice;-)
I almost cant stand it that I finally have a blog! My mother has ALWAYS told me... and by that I mean pretty much my entire life, that I should be writing so here it is....it is finally happening Mom!!!! Haha. You will get to read about my daily life...woo hoo...you will get to read about random thoughts I have and any and all of what's on my mind! Be prepared...I dont have much of a filter when it comes to my opinions and thoughts. I am pretty open and honest about EVERYTHING!
I have a lot to say about education, politics, world events and local issues. I love to share and try recipes and DIY stuff. I am big on putting God first and being a supportive loving wife to my husband and a "100% I'm always there for you" kind of mom to my girls...and their friends...I often find I have "extra" kids in my home for days or even weeks at any given time because I truly have a heart and desire to be a mother and make my home a safe place for my kids and their friends. I have 2 dogs that I adore! More on them later as well.
Ok so folks...this covers it for now I think. I have officially "blogged" and I am officially a "blogger". It's now time for me to stop because I could ramble on forever.....believe me! Besides I still have to take time today to dance around like a crazy woman (now is a good time since the kids arent home!) And why must I dance around like a crazy woman, you ask??? Well.....did you not catch my excitement before now? I HAVE A BLOG...I HAVE A BLOG...I HAVE A BLOG!!!! (I said I wouldnt jump around and cheer. I didnt say anything about dancing!) So until next time.......
